Wet ‘n Wild
An absolute favourite for young and old! Situated next to Movie World, you’re in for a water filled day of thrills and spills. The wave pool is great fun and fully lifeguarded, as are all attractions. There is also gentle Calypso Beach, Buccaneer Bay for the kids and heart-pounding thrill rides and slides for those a little older.
Sea World
From adrenaline pumping coasters to awesome kid’s rides in Beach Break Bay, Sea World offers a full day of fun for the whole family. Aquariums showcase Australia’s diverse marine life and you’ll love watching the polar bears play! There are dolphin and sea lion shows as well as a cable car, conservation-themed 4D movie and small aqua park where you can cool off in summer.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Just a few minutes drive south of Gemini Court Holiday Apartments, or a short bus trip direct from Burleigh Heads, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a wonderful place where you can get up close and personal with an array of Australian wildlife. A favourite with everyone is the cute train that takes you through the park, there are also a number of shows and demonstrations. The park is also a veterinary and rehabilitation hospital for thousands of sick and injured animals brought there every year.
Australia Zoo
Located on the Sunshine Coast, approximately two hours from your accommodation in Burleigh Heads, Australia Zoo is now run by Terri Irwin, the widow of Steve Irwin whose wildlife series ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ made the zoo a popular tourist attraction. Although best know for its crocodiles and live feeding demonstrations, the zoo also features exhibits of koalas, wombats, Tasmanian devils, snakes, turtles and much more.
