Burleigh Heads coffee culture

Some coffee tips from one of our guests…

I have to say that my best friend and I really enjoyed our weekend at Gemini Court Holiday Apartments.  Of course, we chose the best Burleigh Heads accommodation we could find with an amazing view.  Really unbelievable!  But what we really got out of our stay was the great array of coffee shops we could hang out at and chat.

Coffee shops Burleigh Heads

So here are three of our favs.

The Nook

We strolled down the hill from Gemini Court Holiday Apartments and right there on the beach was this cute little coffee nook, called ‘The Nook’!!  The coffee was really delicious, piping hot, perfect for warming us whilst we watched the morning surfers carving up the waves.

Quest Coffee Roasters

Definitely our James Street favourite.  Only a short walk from our Burleigh Heads accommodation, the two of us squeezed onto the bench out the front and chatted endlessly as a steady stream of Burleigh Heads locals cruised by.  The owner, Paul, is a master roaster so the coffee had a great flavour.  Clearly, we weren’t the only ones impressed as the cafe was always full.

Gemini Court Holiday Apartments

Borough Barista

Just opposite the beach, Borough is a tiny cafe with wonderfully fresh food and great coffee.  A bit of a breakfast hang for us during our short stay as it was so close to our Burleigh Heads accommodation.  We loved seeing all the fresh ingredients in crates on the workbench or on top of display cabinets, no artificial additives here.

I’ve only mentioned a few, but, seriously, Burleigh Heads is full of wonderful cafes and restaurants, not to mention stylish boutiques.  We didn’t really need to venture anywhere else, as everything was walking distance from our Gemini Court Holiday Apartment.  We’ll definitely be back again as soon as we can get another weekend free.
